The photo poster project, organized by cizucu and held in cities worldwide, is an exhibition where you can participate simply by choosing a city and date.
What we call the ppp is more than just a photography exhibition. It is a community where anyone can safely share their story, and a unique opportunity to connect with creators from around the globe in real life.
This time, we spoke with the creator 블루문, who participated in the photo poster project.
Please introduce yourself!
Hello, I'm 블루문 (Blue Moon).
“Blue Moon” refers to the second full moon in a single month. I like the subtle twist that, despite the name, it isn’t actually blue. Just as even the familiar full moon can hold a special moment, I want to capture the extraordinary within the ordinary in various forms. That’s the sentiment behind my artist name.
Because I never know when that fleeting “moment” will appear, I always shoot with just my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra).
What inspired you to participate?
I first discovered cizucu when I saw posts from others participating in exhibitions.
It made me think, “There’s a world like this out there,” and I started planning to visit one day.
Then, when I received an invitation to participate, I was genuinely surprised—it felt almost like fate!
As someone who isn’t comfortable being in the spotlight, it took a lot of courage for me to join.
I agonized over the decision, but rather than seeing it as a “chance,” I thought, if even one person appreciates my photography, I should do it, even if it’s difficult. That’s why I decided to participate.
How was your experience participating?
On the day of the exhibition, there was little to prepare in advance, so I could participate without feeling pressured.
However, there were far more people than I had imagined, and to be honest, I was quite nervous and found myself feeling a bit tense at times.
Even so, many people approached me without prompting, and I was truly grateful for the warm welcome.
What stood out most was how kind the staff were—they paid attention to me and listened intently to what I had to say. That left a deep impression on me.
It was also special to witness, in that shared space, the sheer passion everyone had for what they love.
Being exposed to such pure enthusiasm and expression gave me a lot to think about and was incredibly inspiring.
Why did you choose that particular work?
The piece I chose was taken on the first snowy day of the season, when I went out to the park in front of my house—not for any special reason, but simply because I was happy.
Instead of capturing the falling snow as the usual “pure white photo,” I tried to express it through the colors of the fallen leaves.
At that moment, I felt, “Maybe I can capture a unique moment in my own colors,” and it gave me a bit of confidence.
That’s why I felt this photo resonated with the meaning of my first exhibition piece, and I chose it for this show.

Taking photographs can be a deeply personal and fulfilling experience.
But sometimes, you lose your sense of direction, wonder “What am I doing?” or feel unsure about what to do next.
Even if you don’t have anyone around who understands your passion for photography, and it’s not that you feel lonely, there are moments when you want to talk about your work.
This experience is truly special for anyone, regardless of how or why you take photos.
