‘find new pieces’ is a discovery project that seeks out outstanding works from the multitude of submissions on Threads, delivering their allure through our magazine. Each edition sets a theme and gathers works from around the world that resonate with it, introducing new pieces—talents yet to be discovered.

On cizucu’s Threads, a spontaneous “photo theme” is posted.

Though color and texture should be richly present, the passage of that shadow momentarily levels everything, revealing a world of pure “form.” The city’s structure, made visible by light, and the tranquility lurking behind it—this work sharply captures an alternate landscape hidden within the everyday.

How did you find these works?

The subject of silhouette, depending on the angle of light, time, and perspective, can evoke entirely different impressions from the same scene. As only the outline emerges, the colors and details that should be present disappear, replaced by form, presence, and narrative that quietly arise.
The works submitted this time conveyed not only dramatic light and shadow, but also the quiet contours born in fleeting moments and the negative space that sparks the viewer’s imagination—each artist’s unique “silhouette time” was clearly felt.
