This time, we spoke with Paints0963, a creator who took part in the photo poster project.
Please introduce yourself!
Hello. I am Lee Seun, known as Paints0963 on Instagram.
I started photography as a hobby last summer, and I mainly capture natural landscapes and everyday moments around Jeju, South Korea. While documenting the scenery I encounter on my travels, I hope to continue recording these moments with care and from my own unique perspective.
What inspired you to participate?
Since I started photography, I have received several invitations to participate in exhibitions. However, living in Jeju, the prospect of having to install and dismantle my works in Seoul myself felt burdensome, so I hesitated and ultimately declined.
When I received an invitation from the cizucu team, I learned that they would support the preparation and logistics, which was a decisive factor for me to join this exhibition.
Have you noticed any changes in yourself through participating multiple times?
By sharing perspectives and experiences on photography with creators from various genres, I was able to learn about diverse forms of expression and deepen my understanding.
Also, receiving candid feedback about my photographs on site helped me discover strengths I hadn't noticed before. This has become a great source of encouragement for me to continue creating work even after the exhibition.
What do you find appealing about the photo poster project?
Since I mainly share my work on Instagram, I rarely had the chance to discuss photography in person. Sometimes, just exchanging comments on social media didn't feel like true interaction.
However, by participating in the photo poster project, I was able to meet and connect with creators from a variety of genres in person. The time spent sharing thoughts and experiences about photography with others was truly meaningful.
