This time, we spoke with Kazu, a creator who took part in the photo poster project.

Hello, my name is Kazu.
I enjoy my daily camera life by capturing anything that leaves an impression on me—objects, people, snapshots, and more. Thank you for having me.
What inspired you to participate?
I was nominated in a photo contest organized by cizucu, and since I had never exhibited my work in this way before, those were the main reasons I decided to participate this time.
I wanted to directly receive input from the perspective of those viewing my photographs in an exhibition setting, which led me to join.
How was your experience participating?
I was intrigued by the unique perspectives everyone brought to their chosen works.
The different ways of seeing and the philosophies embodied in each piece made me realize the high level of the exhibition. It was a truly inspiring experience.
Why did you choose this particular work?
This work was nominated in the photo contest ‘Listen Closely’.
At first glance, it may be difficult to tell where it was taken or what its background is.
This photograph was taken on a remote island, with the intention of capturing an extraordinary moment.
After experiencing encounters and farewells on that island, I returned to daily life with a positive outlook, knowing I would return again a year later.
Because this image encapsulates the mingling sounds and emotions of that time, I chose it for this exhibition.
For those considering participating in the photo poster project
Even when taken casually, a photograph can transcend its frame and convey something that resonates deeply with people—that is one of the true appeals of photography.
Through the interactions at this exhibition, I found myself reflecting on what I wanted to communicate through my work, and also realizing, ‘Ah, there are other ways of seeing things.’ Experiencing my photographs through the perspectives of others allowed me to articulate them in words and discover new insights. That was significant for me.
The photo poster project is a wonderful opportunity to take the first step toward a new challenge.
