The photo poster project, organized by cizucu and held globally, offers a unique opportunity: simply by submitting your photographs to cizucu, you can participate in a photo poster exhibition and connect with fellow photographers you have yet to meet.

This time, we spoke with creator kyeong hwanii about their experience participating in the photo poster project.

I am kyeong hwanii, originally from Korea, currently working in Japan and pursuing photography as a hobby. On my days off, I love going out to various places to capture beautiful photographs.

The time I spend out shooting is my favorite. As I walk, I observe people, the changing scenery with the seasons, and the way light falls on buildings—photography allows me to preserve these beautiful moments and revisit them later. That is the true allure of photography for me.

I decided to join the photo poster project as a way to gain experience for holding my own solo exhibition in the future. The fact that the installation and exhibition preparations are handled for you made it very accessible.

I also wanted to connect and engage with other creators and photographers, which motivated me to participate.

I thoroughly enjoyed engaging in conversations with the other creators exhibiting alongside me.

Viewing other artworks and observing the different perspectives and approaches to photography broadened my own understanding and appreciation of the medium.

This photograph is a cherished memory from my trip to Biei, Hokkaido, in February 2025.

While wandering around Biei Station, I came across two elderly women walking slowly down an empty street. In the cold winter, their image—relying on each other as they walked—reminded me of lifelong friends who have shared many years together.

Although it was a cold winter day, witnessing that scene left me with a warm memory of my trip to Biei this year, which is why I chose to exhibit this work.

The photo poster project is more than just an exhibition; it is a welcoming community where photography enthusiasts gather to deepen their knowledge and passion!
