Threads, a text-centric social media platform provided by Meta, is a space where countless forms of expression are posted daily from across the globe.
‘find new pieces’ is a discovery project that seeks out outstanding works from the multitude of submissions on Threads, delivering their allure through our magazine. Each edition sets a theme and gathers works from around the world that resonate with it, introducing new pieces—talents yet to be discovered.
This time, from among the countless submissions received from around the world, we present 12 works.
Let’s take a look at these remarkable pieces, each imbued with unique perspectives and sensibilities.
'street'
The world is filled with countless people and events.
The same place, the same moment—never to return.
That instant you turn the corner.
The moment just before your eyes meet, a passing figure, a foot that pauses.
A second when your rhythm aligns with the city’s breath.
Street begins with chance.
Yet, to capture that fleeting moment in a photograph,
you need a sensitivity to presence and the courage to step forward.
A moment that was both accidental and inevitable.
Show us your street.

Countless balconies overlap, repeating the same forms, yet the blurred view through the window and a single tree quietly unsettle that order. The building, bearing traces of life, and the branches reflecting the season—between them, an ambiguous distance emerges, transforming this place from a mere apartment complex into a fleeting moment of the city. What appears accidental is, in fact, a deliberate gaze that remains here.

Come and Go, The Circle of Life.

A figure paused, a city in constant motion—the contrast creates palpable tension in this moment. We may not know what lies ahead, but the sounds, the pace, and the multitude of destinations at the intersection are conveyed through the figure’s back. In a place where one can choose to stop or move on, the deliberate act of pausing draws the accidental cityscape into the realm of street photography.

Fading light and rising structures—between them, a solitary figure quietly crosses. The city’s ceaseless activity and the inexorable passage of time intersect within the same frame. By drawing the universally familiar moment of dusk closer through your own sense of distance, this becomes not just a landscape, but a quiet memory of the street, gently settling into place.

The white lines on the court and the shadows of the iron fence—within them, a single child is captured in the moment of moving toward the ball. The elevated viewpoint observes the intensity of play from a slight distance, quietly framing a slice of everyday life in the city. Precisely because it is not an extraordinary event, this moment lingers as a work that reveals the depth of the street.

The roofline stretches toward the sky, with the moon quietly suspended above. By shifting the gaze upward, away from the city at your feet, this choice creates a sense of openness within the everyday. Even without a human presence, there is a palpable 'city time' flowing here, and the upward glance is preserved as a memory of the street.

Within the wall sinking into darkness, only the neon letters glow as if breathing. Though intended as signage to convey meaning, here the words themselves become part of the scenery, reflecting the city’s atmosphere. By choosing to pause and notice this fleeting light—so easily overlooked—your gaze elevates the emotion hidden in the night street, transforming this spot into a special coordinate, if only for a moment.

Countless signs and lights overlap, transforming the city into a stage set. Beneath them, a crowd of umbrellas, each heading in a different direction. While everyone moves through the same rain toward their own destinations, the photographer’s gaze is deliberately cast downward, capturing not just a bustling city, but the quiet moments in which people are truly living.

Leaning against the wall, both figures lower themselves to the same height. Through this simple gesture, the atmosphere between them gently unravels. Before words can bridge the gap, proximity and expression establish a connection. By observing from a respectful distance, this scene is rendered not as a record of an event, but as a quiet dialogue born within the city.

The sound of wings seems to extend beyond the frame. For a fleeting moment, the boundary between sky and ground dissolves, and the movement of the flock flows into the city as rhythm. Rather than a calculated capture, it feels like a moment you were swept into. By choosing to release the shutter in that instant, order and chaos rise simultaneously. This scene, not a composed landscape but the result of overlapping chance, eloquently speaks to the freedom of the street.

The instant the ball floats in midair. A moment when neither victory nor rules have been decided yet unfolds at the center of the court. Voices, feet stepping in, outstretched arms—all overlap, creating a pocket of energy within the city. Whether intentional or not, the very act of witnessing this moment is captured as a definitive testament to the street.

A seat glimpsed through the gaps in the foliage. In a spot just a half-step removed from the city’s bustle, time gently unravels. The gaze directed at us and the raised glass both feel natural and unguarded. By preserving this sense of distance, the moment is not staged but quietly remains as a vignette of everyday life blending into the city.

In the high-cut blank space, the silhouettes of passersby are quietly inscribed. Even hemmed in by massive buildings, each person’s pace and direction are distinct. These ordinary differences generate a definite rhythm in this place. By keeping the gaze low and immersing oneself in the flow, the city emerges not as an overwhelming structure, but as a tapestry of human activity.
In Closing
What did you think?
Places where people gather, moments filled with light, and the lingering quietude of silence—each photograph, while facing a different direction, captured the city’s time through unique sensibilities.
What they shared was a gaze that does not leave everything to chance. Pausing, keeping distance, deliberately stepping aside—these small choices transform mere waypoints into memorable moments.
Street is not something you can capture by design. This collection of works quietly, yet assuredly, conveys that truth.
To discover new pieces—talents yet unseen—is precisely the role we hope to fulfill through this project, and we hope your expression will become a catalyst to reach more hearts.
Look forward to our next theme.
