Nice to meet you, I’m Ken.
I capture moments that move my heart during my travels and encounters with nature. The stillness of the mountains, the vastness of the sea, the gaze of animals, and encounters with people—all of these inspire me.
Initially, I started taking photos as a way to document my travels, but over time, I began to feel, “I want to share this more” and “I want to preserve it more beautifully.”
Now, traveling and capturing the landscapes and natural expressions of the world have become my way of life.
What inspired you to participate?
I had been following cizucu’s Instagram and Threads for a while and thought the activities of the were wonderful. When I learned it was being held in my hometown, I felt there was no reason not to participate and applied.
I’ve participated in exhibitions before, but the stood out because it required minimal preparation and offered a valuable opportunity to connect with other participants. That’s why I decided to join.
How was your experience participating?
The first impression I had was, “It was so much fun!” Initially, I was a bit nervous since I didn’t know many people, but everyone was so friendly that by the time the exhibition started, we had already become good friends.
Through the interactions, we shared our works and shooting styles, and receiving honest feedback on my photos was a valuable experience. Every participant’s work was amazing, and the atmosphere was filled with mutual respect and inspiration. It was truly a time of “kindness and warmth.”
Through the , my love for photography deepened, and my confidence grew. Once again, I realized that photography is like a “journey.”
There are encounters, discoveries, and moments that move your heart. I want to continue capturing such moments in the future.
Why did you choose that particular photo?
My usual photography style often involves chasing harsh natural landscapes like mountains and seas during my travels, which can make my photos somewhat serious.
When I looked back at my past photos with the theme of ‘kindness’ in mind, the photo of this cat, Sabrina, caught my eye.
This stray cat became my friend during my travels, and we spent time together almost every day while I was there. I felt that this small friendship, which transcended species, embodied kindness itself, so I chose this photo.
Through this photo, I want to convey that ‘kindness’ is not something special but something found in everyday life.

If I could say one thing, it would be this: “You won’t regret participating.”
Not only can you reflect on your work objectively, but you can also experience other people’s works in “real life” rather than on a digital screen, and connect with many people. All of these made it a special and happy time for me.
I became so close with the people I met that we’re already planning to go shooting together. It’s rare to find such opportunities to meet wonderful photography friends.
