Please introduce yourself!

I mainly focus on landscape photography.

Recently, inspired by people I met through the , I have been challenging myself by submitting to curated galleries like and participating in photo contests!

Why did you decide to participate in <ppp(pro)> this time?

I wanted to take advantage of the rare opportunity to receive advice from professionals with proven achievements in the field of photography!

What specific questions did you ask the coach?

I asked the coach about photo composition and editing techniques.

Specifically, I inquired about how to improve the composition of my photos to make them more impactful, where to place the main subject for maximum effect, and what adjustments to make during editing to create a more striking image.

The photo I submitted featured a red bridge amidst a mountain covered in autumn foliage. I found it interesting how the man-made structure served as an accent within the grandeur of nature, which is why I chose it.

What kind of advice did you receive during the open coaching?

The most memorable advice I received was to slightly reduce the saturation of the autumn foliage to make the red bridge stand out, as the colors of the bridge and the foliage overlapped. I also received feedback on composition, such as how to crop the frame and guide the viewer's gaze.

Previously, I had focused on enhancing the vividness of the foliage, so the idea of lowering its saturation to highlight the bridge was a revelation.

When I tried it, I found that the foliage was already vibrant enough, so reducing its saturation slightly didn’t feel unnatural. In fact, the bridge, which had been overshadowed, became more prominent, and the overall photo improved significantly.

How was your experience participating in <ppp(pro)>?

Usually, my photography process ends with taking photos, editing, and posting them, so having the opportunity to have my work objectively reviewed was very refreshing.

As I was already feeling the need to improve my photography while challenging myself with and photo contests, receiving direct advice turned out to be an invaluable experience!

For those considering participating in <ppp(pro)>

Hearing the words "receiving advice" or "getting critiques" might make you imagine a tense atmosphere, but in reality, it was a very calm and positive event.
There was a collaborative spirit of improving each other's photos through mutual feedback, making it a highly educational experience.

If you want honest feedback on your work or are considering entering photo contests, I highly recommend it!
