Please introduce yourself!

I am currently a student studying design. Initially, I wasn’t very interested in photography, but a class sparked my interest, and I started learning photography seriously this year.

Now, I belong to a photography seminar where I enjoy learning techniques and expressions. I love capturing natural landscapes, animals, and people, aiming to convey a sense of “warmth” and “atmosphere” through my photos.

What motivated you to participate?

This was my first time participating in a photo exhibition. As a student, I want to learn and absorb as much as possible, so I always try to take proactive actions.

This summer, my seminar members and I rented a gallery to hold a photo exhibition. Before that, I felt it was a valuable opportunity to interact with photography enthusiasts and experienced individuals, and to receive honest feedback on my work, which motivated me to participate.

How was your experience participating?

After hearing the thoughts and stories behind each participant’s exhibited works during the “Gallery Talk,” we had time to interact with each other. This allowed us to have deep conversations about techniques and points of focus during photography, which only fellow photographers could truly understand.

Additionally, hearing specific feedback about my work directly helped me reassess the viewers’ perspectives and boosted my motivation for photography.
The exhibition felt more like a casual gathering, with a warm and friendly atmosphere where everyone kindly shared their impressions, making it an enjoyable experience.

Why did you choose that particular piece?

The theme this time was “What I Love.” I felt that the memories of my trip to Sedona, USA, last year were filled with things I love, making it a perfect fit for the theme.

This piece captures an unforgettable moment from the last day of the trip. I was thrilled to display it as an A2-sized poster, as it’s a piece I personally wanted to see enlarged.

For those considering participating in the photo poster project

I highly recommend this project to those currently studying photography or those who find it challenging to print large posters at home!

You can take the poster home after the event, and no special preparation is required. You can participate casually and enjoy the experience.

I personally had a great time in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If you’re interested, don’t hesitate to join and enjoy it without overthinking!
