Please introduce yourself!
My name is Shingo. I’ve been into photography for 11 years, starting with pure landscapes. Recently, I’ve been drawn to capturing scenes that include stars, fireworks, and people as focal points to evoke imagination.
What inspired you to participate?
Before COVID-19, I used to participate in group exhibitions with my circle of friends. However, I’ve been away from such events for the past few years. I wanted to join an exhibition where I could showcase my work in printed form again.
How was your experience participating?
I think the ease of participation, where you just need to send your data, is fantastic. The print quality was excellent, with vibrant colors.
Additionally, the opportunity to explain your photos during the exhibition was a fresh and innovative approach. This accessibility and low barrier to entry are the best aspects of the project.
Why did you choose that particular photo?
Capturing the Milky Way requires advanced skills in both photography and editing. Printing adds another layer of expertise. Over the past two years, I’ve focused on astrophotography, and I finally felt confident enough to showcase my work in print for the first time.
A message for those considering joining the photo poster project
If you usually only share your photos on social media, this is an exhibition you should definitely consider. Receiving live feedback, sharing your passion, and having these unique experiences are things you can only get from a photo exhibition.
