Stepping away from daily life, the time spent capturing moments freely began to flow slowly. From the nostalgic streets of a hot spring town to casual shots in a commercial facility, masa's one-day record, woven with two lenses, delves into the philosophy behind their photography.
Nikon Z6III Basic Information
The Nikon Z6III is a mirrorless camera equipped with a full-frame back-illuminated CMOS sensor with approximately 24.5 megapixels. With excellent autofocus performance, continuous shooting at up to 14 frames per second, and a high-resolution EVF, it is an all-rounder camera widely supported by advanced amateurs and professionals alike.
Snapshots in Yunoyama Hot Spring Town
The first destination was Yunoyama Hot Spring Town. The streets, which have lost some of their former bustle, evoke a sense of time passing. The lens chosen for this location was the Voigtlander APO-LANTHAR 50mm F2. Its classic rendering and the relaxed operation of manual focus perfectly matched the atmosphere of the old hot spring town.
Traveling solo allows you to focus on composition and focusing without having to worry about keeping someone else waiting.
From the wooden architecture of the hot spring town to the noren curtains at shop entrances and the occasional passerby, each shot was carefully captured one by one.
Lens Change at Aqua Ignis
To satisfy a small hunger, I headed to Aqua Ignis, a "resort of relaxation and food." Here, I switched to the NIKKOR Z 40mm F2 lens. While similar in focal length to the 50mm, its autofocus and compact, lightweight design make it ideal for natural snapshots even within commercial facilities.
Around the resort's hot spring facilities, you can enjoy a variety of gourmet options. The warm lights of cafes and restaurants, as well as the colorful sweets displayed in showcases, can be gently captured with the soft bokeh unique to an f/2 aperture. After enjoying the food and sweets, I headed to the hot spring to wash away the sweat from snapping photos, refreshing both body and mind.
Ending the Journey at a Café
After the bath, I ordered an iced coffee at a nearby café. The slightly wide-angle view of the 40mm lens captures the atmosphere of the interior and the small items on the table in a balanced way.
The coffee I enjoyed while reflecting on the photos I had taken was truly special. Thus, my solo trip to Mie with the Nikon Z6III and two lenses became a quiet and fulfilling time, deeply etched into my memory.
