'Sakai Colorful Journey - Colors of the City, Colors of the People' is a special photo contest set in Sakai City, delivered with the support of Nankai Electric Railway. The contest aims to curate outstanding works from submissions, discovering the charm of Sakai City and supporting new talents and the community as a platform.

The theme this time is 'The Diverse Charms of Sakai City'.
Along the Nankai Electric Railway line, including Sakai City, you can encounter colorful personalities in buildings, the beauty of the sea and mountains, unique shops, and traditional cafes.

The factory nightscape of the Sakai-Senboku Coastal Industrial Zone is one of Japan's leading factory nightscapes. For about 200 years from the Muromachi period, the area of Sakai City flourished as a natural fishing port. Although the fishing industry has declined, the old Sakai Lighthouse, built in the Meiji era at a place with frequent ship traffic, remains preserved as a symbol of Sakai City, cherished by the townspeople, and continues to illuminate the hearts of residents.
