Introduction
'Landscape Treasures' is a global photo contest open to all creators. Through cizucu's photo contests, outstanding works are curated from submissions, with the aim of discovering new talent as a platform and supporting the community as a whole.
This time, under the theme of 'Treasured Landscapes,' we invited submissions capturing scenes that are treasures to you—urban corners, the breath of nature, architectural masterpieces, the changing seasons, or fleeting everyday moments. We welcomed official curators yanma222 and yasufumi to select the award-winning works.

Breathtaking. That was the word that came to mind the moment I saw this photograph.
Tatsusawa Fudo Falls in Fukushima Prefecture offers stunning natural scenery throughout the year, with fresh greenery being especially famous. However, what caught my attention here was the maple leaves in the foreground. When capturing waterfalls with a slow shutter, the leaves often blur due to wind or water flow, but here, the photographer must have waited for that fleeting moment of stillness. You can sense the persistence and repeated attempts to capture this shot.
The maple leaves appear as if time has stopped, while the waterfall flows like a curtain over the rocks, captured with a slow shutter. The coexistence of 'stillness' and 'motion' within a single frame is like packing both into an autumnal treasure chest—truly a fascinating work.
Moreover, the technical skill in keeping everything in focus from foreground to background, and the use of a wide-angle lens to maximize this effect, provide new discoveries for the viewer in terms of composition and sensibility.
Perhaps a polarizing filter was used to render the water so clearly. I was captivated by the high level of expressive technique, which is why I selected this photograph.

The Milky Way is beautifully integrated with the landscape, and the stars are captured vividly through long exposure.
The gentle curves of the rice fields express a tranquil rhythm, while the reflection of the starry sky creates a dreamlike atmosphere. I believe this work successfully conveys the tranquility of night and the grandeur of nature. The way light is captured in the darkness is particularly skillful, showcasing outstanding photographic technique.
