Towards the Exhibition
Koyuki
The inspiration for this exhibition came when I guided Kota around Ishikawa. It was his first visit, so I showed him my hometown of Komatsu City. Sharing the landscapes I had seen since childhood made me a bit nervous, but he appreciated each place with reverence and sincerity, which made me truly happy.

After Kota returned to Tokyo, we reminisced about Ishikawa, and he expressed his desire to give back to the place and do something meaningful there. This led to the idea for this exhibition.
Remi was introduced to me by Kota, and we discussed sound performance and technical aspects. When I shared the exhibition concept, Remi expressed her interest in creating works inspired by Sanjiroan, the venue. We then visited Sanjiroan together for a meeting.

Sanjiroan offers a view of the tea garden from its tea room. We spent about an hour observing the scenery and listening to the sounds with our eyes closed, aligning our senses. Both artists have unique perspectives that go beyond imagination, and I hope we can express Komatsu as a place from both 'inside' and 'outside' perspectives.
Our Message
This exhibition is a collaboration of three artists. Centered around the concept of 'A To Ka Ta,' each artist presents their unique expressions.
Remi Hayashi
This exhibition takes place in Sanjiroan, a historic building that has accumulated time over the years. In this era of rapidly changing information and technology, I sometimes lose track of when and where I am. That’s why exhibiting in a place layered with so much time, under the theme of 'A To Ka Ta,' allows me to reflect on how I live in the present. I hope visitors can also feel the contours of time.
Kota
The poems I’m exhibiting are mostly born from my daily life. I’d be happy if viewers resonate with them in some way. Exhibitions allow for immediate feedback from people, so I look forward to hearing their honest impressions.
Koyuki
My work is inspired by the collective behavior of crows, known as 'pre-roost gatherings,' which I’ve observed since childhood. I aim to capture invisible communication among living beings. I’m also excited to explore the unique communication that emerges in the space of Sanjiroan.
Additionally, Kota will perform sitar music and poetry readings spontaneously at the venue. We hope you’ll join us!
