Introduction

Photographer Masahiro Nishiura / mar00ram, who dedicates his life to the dynamic photography of fireworks, will hold his solo exhibition 'Kiseki 4' from May 5 (Mon, Holiday) to May 10 (Sat) at Masago Gallery in Osaka.

The first solo exhibition came about when I showed some of my unique photos to a senior colleague. Since the senior's family ran a gallery, I was introduced, and unexpectedly, a solo exhibition was organized.

Because it was not a specialized photo gallery but a long-established art gallery, the audience was diverse, and I received various feedback.
Visiting a gallery I had never been to before allowed me to see paintings, calligraphy, and sculptures, and talk with artists, which was a great learning experience.

Following the same concept, the second and third exhibitions were held, and this is the fourth.

Towards the Exhibition

Being a complete novice at exhibitions, I was clueless at first, rushing through selecting works, printing, and framing.

The most challenging part was framing. I rented frames, and framing about 30 works the day before installation was extremely difficult, resulting in an almost all-nighter. From the second exhibition onwards, I allowed more rental days and completed matting early.

Message to Convey

The vibrant colors and flashes of fireworks that adorn the summer night sky create large blooms that fade away...

It was to give such light art a new dynamism and expression that 'Kiseki' began.

'ki.se.ki' was named to represent the brilliance of fireworks trails, the miracle of holding a solo exhibition for the first time, the photographs I have continued to take, and the trajectory of my creative activities.

Fireworks photos are dynamically captured and finished in a unique kinetic art style.
Photography is not just about taking pictures; it's about selecting and recreating them, allowing for enjoyment two or three times over.

As abstract works, the thoughts of the creator and the viewer may not always align.

Therefore, I hope you will freely imagine, interpret, and enjoy as you wish.
