The SONY α550 (DSLR-A550) is a digital single-lens reflex camera in Sony’s α series. It uses the Minolta/Sony A-mount (α mount) and accepts compatible A-mount lenses. It occupies a similar position in the lineup to contemporary α-series DSLRs such as the α500 and α580.
