How to use · Paired with a compact EF-S standard zoom, it is easy to carry, and building a kit mainly around EF-S lenses makes it easier to take advantage of the 1.6× equivalent field of view. It supports SD/SDHC cards, so check the supported standards rather than assuming compatibility with older high-capacity SDXC cards.

Watchouts · There is no in-body image stabilization. It is not dust- or weather-sealed, high sensitivity only goes up to ISO 1600, and the live view and rear LCD are more limited than on current models. AF has 9 points, but there is no video recording or electronic shutter.
