I captured this photograph at CSMT station around 4–5 in the evening, when Mumbai slowly enters its peak rush hour and everyone is in a hurry to get somewhere. While observing the movement and chaos around me, I happened to look up and noticed a quiet moment above the moon slowly aligning with the tip of the dome. I waited for that brief moment when it seemed to rest perfectly on the spire, and that’s when I captured this frame. For me, it felt like a small pause of stillness between the fast pace of the city and the calmness of the sky. | Aniket Namdev

I chose this photograph for exhibition because it stands apart from the kind of work I usually create. I was in the middle of photographing a model for a fashion shoot when I noticed a man standing nearby, looking back for just a brief moment. Instinctively, I captured the frame and immediately returned to the shoot. That is what I love most about photography — sometimes you simply find yourself in the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment, and a fleeting moment turns into an image that stays. What makes this photograph special to me is its universality. Although it was taken in the port area of Abu Dhabi, the scene feels unbound by geography. It could exist anywhere in the world, allowing the viewer to project their own place, story, and emotion onto the image. | Sahil Behal

I chose this photograph for exhibition because it stands apart from the kind of work I usually create. I was in the middle of photographing a model for a fashion shoot when I noticed a man standing nearby, looking back for just a brief moment. Instinctively, I captured the frame and immediately returned to the shoot.
Surrounded by dense building blocks and repeated routines in Seoul, I remember the bridge as the only place where the uninterrupted sky could be seen. For me, the car was where our family spent the most time together, talking, while I gazed out of the window at the fast-moving cityscape - thinking, revisiting, and imagining. I also caught glimpses of people in their cars or on the subway crossing the bridge, looking out at the river and the distant scene, wondering where they were going and what concerns they might have. Many of Seoul’s bridges were built during the decades of rapid growth in the 1960s and 70s, carrying people swiftly across the Han River as the city expanded. Yet while crossing them, I often found an unexpected stillness, a brief sanctuary where, for a moment, one could lose oneself in thought above the moving city. | Moodeeprincess

The Common Kingfisher may be small, but it is incredibly fast. When it bursts out of the water, it can reach speeds of 40–65 km/h, leaving only a split second to capture the moment. Photographing this instant is extremely challenging. As the bird emerges, water droplets scatter in every direction, often confusing the camera’s autofocus. In this case, the kingfisher was diving into a shaded pocket surrounded by branches, making it even harder for the camera to lock onto the subject instead of the busy background. Shot handheld at 800mm, every movement was magnified while tracking the bird’s unpredictable flight. Interestingly, the kingfisher was not hunting—it was simply diving repeatedly to take a quick shower. After three dives into the same spot, everything aligned for a brief fraction of a second. With the speed and precision of the Sony α1 paired with the reach of the Sony FE 400–800mm lens, I was able to capture the moment—tack sharp as the kingfisher burst out of the water. | thebirdingdude

Title: Dining with her Series: Dreams Status: On-going About: This is the first entry in this series, this as part of photo-essay will have a total of 15 main pictorial works and supporting supplements. “Dreams", in this series I wanted to pictorialize what I could remember from my most vivid, intense, and memorable dreams that occurred / occurs to me during the REM phase, which is said to be the primary, deep-sleep stage. REM dreams are often characterized as intense, emotional, and story-like, compared to non-REM dreams, which are often more thought-like or brief. This stage is said to be characterized by high brain activity, rapid eye movement, and temporary muscle paralysis. It typically happens in cycles throughout the night, aiding in memory consolidation, emotional regulation, and cognitive function. I could not remember everything or every dream, but I note down and visualise what I could remember in my journal, this is also an effort to understand human persona & individual psyche, I try to detach myself from self and observe as an outsider treating myself as a mere subject. I try to be impartial and restrict projection of personal beliefs when making these observations. - - - Details: Mamiya RB67, Mamiya-Sekor Macro C 150/4.5 Fomapan 100 Fomadon LQN Year: August, 2025 - present Photo: November 2025 *** | Eli Mastaine

Happiness and grief are not emotions you would expect to co-exist at a wedding but somehow, it did for me on the day my older brother and sister-in-law got married. In 2022, months before my brother and sister-in-law got married, my paternal granddad passed on, missing his chance to see his very first grandchild get married. And being the secondary photographer at your sibling's wedding with that reminder just flashing through your mind the entire day, it silently increases the weight of your role and responsibility to document the occasion. Photographed is my paternal grandma who is still alive but does not remember my granddad due to her dementia and my brother alongside my sister-in-law who is telling my grandma that they were getting married that very day. The reason I chose this photo among all the photos I shot that day was because of how intimate it felt and how it reminded me of the importance of documentation. Although my granddad never made it to the wedding, my grandma did and for that, I'm thankful I got to document these moments during such a loaded occasion. With all that in mind, I hope you walk away from this photo, documenting more moments in your own life because someday, someone would want to look back on a moment when they still had you. | Tristan Tan
