Framed against the ornate architecture of a Thai temple, everyday figures move through a space steeped in history.
This was one of my very first works, back when I’d just stepped out into the world as an assistant photographer. It means a lot to me, especially now, because this marks my 20th year practicing photography, both as a job and as something I genuinely love. Looking back, this image feels like a reminder of how far I’ve come. Everything was so pure back then, still a little naive. Money mattered, sure, but it was never the source of happiness. I just wanted to shoot. If I didn’t have the budget for models or fancy props, I’d make do with whatever was around in the studio I was working at. Maybe this image didn’t fully make sense to me at that point in time but it does now. That’s what makes it even more meaningful. It sums up what photography has taught me over the years: to stay flexible, adapt, and keep creating no matter the circumstances. | Lousycameraman

I took this photograph during a casual photo walk with a friend. We were simply wandering through the busy streets when I noticed this man slowly riding his scooter toward me. Something about the moment felt visually striking the crowd, the street, and his calm presence moving through the chaos. Instinctively, I stepped into the middle of the road, framed the scene, and took the shot just as he approached. It was a very spontaneous photograph, captured in a split second. What drew me to the image later was how it reflects the rhythm of everyday street life unpredictable, busy, yet full of small cinematic moments waiting to be noticed. | Binay Parida

TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT Being one with Nature is the most comforting and sublime experience that i have ever had. I was in the jungles of India and travelling in an open top jeep as usual. On a small bumpy road we saw a deer running and jumping across the road about 5 yards in front of us. We kept driving and suddenly we see that a Tiger was chasing the Deer and as our jeep reached that point - the Tiger was in his stride to jump across the road in an attempt to catch the deer. The Tiger stopped as soon as he saw our jeep in his path. If we were even half a second late - the TIger may not have been able to stop and likely would have leapt - probably landing in our jeep. He stopped in time - he sat and stared at us for a while and then walked away from the jeep. We waited in the area - and the Tiger also staye din the vicinity - sitting for a bit and then walking around. Staring at us angrily from time to time I hope i have been able to capture his displeasure / anger in this picture | DM

Alienation of Dharavi : A Bombay slum with a $1-billion informal economy “We stopped the Adani Group’s redevelopment survey twice in protest. Our homes, our work, our lives are here. Redevelopment will only mean displacement. They say anyone who came after 2000 will be pushed far away, and even we must pay to stay,” says Naseem, a Dharavi resident. In picture : Labourers stacking up a sack of clay — This is from Dharavi’s informal pottery industry, which has been running for over 100 years.
This photograph was taken during a collaboration with singer-songwriter Utsavi Jha. At the time, I had stepped away from pursuing photography professionally and had shifted my focus to working as a color grading artist, keeping photography primarily for personal expression. Photographing this moment became more meaningful than I initially expected. I had long admired Utsavi’s music, so having the opportunity to collaborate with her was something I felt deeply grateful for. More importantly, this experience helped me overcome a quiet anxiety I had developed about photographing people in public spaces. What began as a simple collaboration gradually reopened a creative door for me. It reminded me why I was drawn to photographing people in the first place and gave me the confidence to return to it without hesitation. This image, therefore, represents more than a portrait—it marks a personal turning point where photography once again became something I could approach with curiosity and freedom. | Nandan Nabodit

A faint flutter broke the still air as a Greater Short-Nosed Fruit Bat glided in, guided by scent rather than sight. Juice glistened on its fur as seeds scattered to the ground—future fig trees planted by accident . This frame was created as part of 'THE CAR IS NOT THE SUBJECT', a campaign initiative for the rebrad launch of TSX Media – one that explores what exists beyond the surface, the person behind the drive, the weigh they carry and the quiet moments between them. Presented for exhibition with PPP, this piece became more than just an image. It became a meeting point – where automotive enthusiasts and first-time viewers stepped into the same space, seeing the culture not just for what it looks like, but for what it feels like. The late night drives. Unspoken moments. And the shared understanding between strangers who somehow feel the same thing on the road. This roller shot captures one of those moments – movement, control and everything carried in between. As we continue this campaign, the challenge becomes bigger than visuals: How do we make automotive culture more human? More open. More relatable. More felt – even to those outside it?
I call this Image " Who is the BOSS !!" We were very lucky to see this. We were done for safaris on the day - we were changing Hotels and moving from one Serengeti National Park to Ngoro Ngoro Crater. All my camera gear was packed up and we had a few hours of driving ahead of us. But we were still driving through the Serengeti - suddenly our driver spotted this Lion and Lioness together, and we stopped to watch. I quickly prepared my camera Gear and was happy to have captured this image. Just a quick background of what is happening - After mating, the Lioness is very angry and the Lion obviously looks scared !! Quick information for those who are interested - Serengeti is the largest National park in Tanzania and Ngoro Ngoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - it is the worlds largest Caldera ( Volcanic Crater) - it is about 19km in diameter and has an area of 260sq km - it was formed by a huge volcanic eruption 2.5million years ago. It has unique and dense biodiversity | DM

Title: HI One morning, light slipped through a gap in my curtains and left a mark on my front door. I wasn't looking for it — I just happened to see it. I'm drawn to ordinary moments when light transforms a space. This one felt different. The light had arranged itself into something legible — a quiet greeting written in warmth and shadow, offered before I had even opened my eyes to the day. The first thing you see is the "I" — a clean column of light, standing on its own. But look at the darkness surrounding it, the shadow that cuts through, the negative space between. Let your eyes rest there. It takes a second look. The "H" quietly appears. Together, they form something simple: hi. The texture and marks already on the door became part of the letters, as if the surface had always been waiting to hold them. It wasn't planned. The light held its shape for a while — long enough to notice, long enough to photograph, long enough to feel like it meant something. This photo is about paying attention — to light, to darkness, and to the thin line between the two. Every element had to align: the curtain gap, the angle of the morning sun, the moment I chose to stop and look. Change any one of them, and the greeting vanishes. Some things only reveal themselves when you look at what surrounds them. This was one of those mornings. | Koh Min Xiang
