          <title><![CDATA[This photograph was taken in Yunnan at a place called Lugu Lake. It's home to the Mosuo, an ethnic matriarchal tribe.  The subject is a Mosuo boat rower enjoying a smoke while waiting for his next ride. Each boat ride is physically demanding, as the boats are hand-rowed and the total distance spans just over a kilometer. To prevent exhaustion, each rower is limited to 6 trips a week and all proceeds are pooled into the village's communal fund to be distributed equally. | beanuptosomething]]></title>

          <title><![CDATA[this was my first ferry ride in istanbul, surrounded by seagulls flying so close it felt unreal. i was just trying to capture the moment, not knowing how the photos would turn out. it was also my first time using Harman Phoenix 200 film stock, and the strong blue tones really surprised me but that’s exactly what made me fall in love with it. it's definitely a look i want to keep exploring.  if you’re into bluish tones, you should give this film stock a try. i was telling my best friend, AJ who’s also into film photography saying that I wanted to use this roll during my ferry ride to meet her ex-girlfriend for brunch…hahaha!  i also shot about 30 photos in just 10–15 minutes with this roll. i wish i could visit istanbul again. you guys should give it a try. feel free to ask me anything if you have questions. thankies! | asri]]></title>

For me, the car was where our family spent the most time together, talking, while I gazed out of the window at the fast-moving cityscape - thinking, revisiting, and imagining. I also caught glimpses of people in their cars or on the subway crossing the bridge, looking out at the river and the distant scene, wondering where they were going and what concerns they might have.  Many of Seoul’s bridges were built during the decades of rapid growth in the 1960s and 70s, carrying people swiftly across the Han River as the city expanded. For me, the car was where our family spent the most time together, talking, while I gazed out of the window at the fast-moving cityscape - thinking, revisiting, and imagining. I also caught glimpses of people in their cars or on the subway crossing the bridge, looking out at the river and the distant scene, wondering where they were going and what concerns they might have.  Many of Seoul’s bridges were built during the decades of rapid growth in the 1960s and 70s, carrying people swiftly across the Han River as the city expanded.
