Even after walking for so many days, the Warkari still had so much energy left to play these traditional games. I saw them starting to form these human pyramids and circles, and I knew I had to get a different view. I actually sat down on the ground and leaned back to shoot from a very low angle. I wanted to show how they look up at each other and support one another. On Armenian Street in Georgetown, Penang, the umbrella installation fills the frame with repetition—layers of monochrome forms, tangled lines, and surrounding buildings competing relentlessly for attention. Every direction offers distraction. Nothing wants to stay quiet. This photograph emerged from the challenge of seeing through that visual noise. The abundance of umbrellas and architectural clutter made it difficult to establish a clear subject. By isolating a single rainbow umbrella within the chaos, the image finds its anchor. Color becomes the language of focus, cutting through complexity and guiding the eye. The result is not just documentation of a street art installation, but a reflection of the street photographer’s pursuit: to impose order on disorder, to wait for clarity within clutter, and to reveal meaning by choosing what to exclude. I was in the jungles of India and travelling in an open top jeep as usual. On a small bumpy road we saw a deer running and jumping across the road about 5 yards in front of us. We kept driving and suddenly we see that a Tiger was chasing the Deer and as our jeep reached that point - the Tiger was in his stride to jump across the road in an attempt to catch the deer. The Tiger stopped as soon as he saw our jeep in his path. If we were even half a second late - the TIger may not have been able to stop and likely would have leapt - probably landing in our jeep. He stopped in time - he sat and stared at us for a while and then walked away from the jeep. We waited in the area - and the Tiger also staye din the vicinity - sitting for a bit and then walking around. I was just walking around and happen to saw this young gentleman chilling, who seemed to be reflecting on his life. I thought the tree and the castle behind were complementary features to the picture at such a perfect angle to where he is seated, hence I took this shot! A vision of this image would be that, in life, as we grow older and our pace of life gets faster where we face multiple life stages (from finishing our education, to getting an occupation, settling our future homes), there are so many seasons in our life such that there will be ups and downs. The dried autumn tree has its leaves shed, but the leaves will grow back again. This represents that even when we get lost in the midst of living, it's okay to face setbacks and have your leaves all shedded off. However, you will bounce up from your obstacles and grow out of them, which represents the leaves growing once again. This reflects your personal growth. The castle represents a Home, where despite whatever challenges you face in your life, there will be a Home for you. That can be your inner self love, your family who will love and support you, your close friends who you confide in or anyone you know you can return to peacefully, safe and sound amidst life's chaos and obstacles. I was with my friend walking around the area and I happened to see this lovely couple having their pre-wedding photoshoot right in front of the water fountain at the venue. I realised I had another angle that's a bit closer to the couple than what the photographer intended, and I decided to take my shot! I love seeing wedding photography / videography, as somebody who did wedding videography before. My vision for this photo is, well, I hope everyone in their lives, be it single or attached or married, I hope that you (as the black shirt man) remember to love yourself while loving your inner child / your partner / your spouse (as the woman in the wedding dress). The shadows of the Woman's feet being lifted up by the man represents that, everyone regardless of their marital status, should have love in their life where they can overcome any obstacles together and be happy / contented with oneself (be it alone or as a nucleus). The natural Rainbow formed behind them was such a magnificent feature to be present in their photo. I hope everyone can remember that there are different colours to defining love and our feelings, because love is never a fixed shade or colour.
