We soaked in the festival atmosphere while waiting for the fireworks to start, and feeling the chill, went straight for hot food. What intrigued me most, though, was the long queue for Gelato. Very cold temperatures, and people were still happily lining up for ice cream — now thats a sight. What struck me most about the whole evening was the atmosphere. Hundreds of people gathered in the dark, yet it was completely calm — everyone quietly enjoying their snacks, then tilting their heads skyward in collective appreciation of the fireworks above.
