Even after walking for so many days, the Warkari still had so much energy left to play these traditional games. I saw them starting to form these human pyramids and circles, and I knew I had to get a different view. I actually sat down on the ground and leaned back to shoot from a very low angle. I wanted to show how they look up at each other and support one another. For this trip, I wanted to do film simulations to maximize the European summer sun. Hence, I applied Veres Deni Alex' recipes , but with a few tweaks based on the available features on my Sony ZV-E10 cam. This was in Alcazar of Seville -- another favourite places during this trip. I didn't expect that I'll be in awe with this place as well. <![CDATA[東日本大震災をきっかけに本格的に撮影に取り組み始め、「生と死」が交差するような瞬間を追い求めるようになった。「夏の沖縄」は強烈な日差しで生命が輝く一方、過酷な自然環境が死を連想させることから、個人的には格好の撮影場所のように思えた。写真は、２０１２年の久高島（南城市）で、琉球（沖縄）を開びゃくした女神「アマミキヨ」が降りたったとされるカベール岬に続く１本道。普段はスナップしか撮らず、画面内に意図的にモノを置くようなことはしないが、この時だけは「時が止まったモノ」と「移ろいゆくモノ」を対比させたくて、那覇市内で購入した造花を画面に入れた。１０年以上前のコンパクトカメラによる１２００万画素の写真のため、A2版ポスターには画質的に厳しいと思ったが、自分の原点ともいえる作品なので今回選んだ。 Temple in Dwarka, Gujarat, this photograph documents a quiet yet powerful moment of devotion during the early golden hour. Amidst a crowded morning of ritual bathing, I focused on a woman from the Mer (Maher) community, whose traditional tattoos function as permanent jewellery — cultural identity inscribed onto skin. Her gold-plated Vedhla earrings and red tie-dyed saree reflect a living heritage that continues to exist within contemporary India. I intentionally chose a frame that conceals her face. The absence of identity shifts attention toward texture, tradition, light, and ritual rather than individuality. The golden sunlight interacting with wet skin and tribal markings transforms a simple act of prayer into a timeless visual narrative.
