It is taken recently when I have a date with my gf at Ampang area. There are a lot of people coming here for the sun set else they have to go for a long distance for the sunset at seaside. When the sun coming down, everyone start to get ready on their perfect spot and give attention to the view. The sunset goes very slow, and the light shone is warm and gentle keeps people calms and relaxed. My girlfriend was sick and having pain on that day. Perhaps at this moment it relieved her pains and make her more comfortable for the rest of the day. Immediately realising it was a Hornbill (by the distinctive call) I grabbed my camera and dashed out of the front door & into the road, switching on the camera and adjusting settings with 'one eye on the sky & one eye on the camera' (zero regard for oncoming traffic, thankfully there wasn't any). I pointed my lens up at the sky and was immediately confronted by this beauty flying right over my head being chased by a significant "murder" of crows (who were very unhappy with their prospective victim). Without a second's thought, I adjusted my camera to frame the action and rattled off a few shots ( this one ended up being the 'keeper'). P.S. The Hornbill made his escape. | MATTHEW H. However, through the process of creating this work, my understanding of freedom shifted. The body in the image is tethered by ropes, suggesting entanglement with reality, emotion, or fate. Birds circle the sky above, embodying instinct, desire, and untamed movement. A red glow pulses beneath the figure, symbolizing an inner force—caught between suppression and momentum. Freedom, I came to realize, is not defined by being unbound, but by the willingness to move forward despite restraint.
