Elle a été prise un soir d'hiver. La neige commençait à se changer en givre sur les trottoirs du musée du Louvre et les bouches d'égouts recrachaient la vapeur du ventre de la ville. Elle s’inscrit dans la série « Corps étrangers », pensée comme une succession de cases de bande dessinée. Elle traite de la place de l’humain dans son environnement et de la responsabilité liée à ses choix. L’homme façonne les villes à son image, les étend, les densifie, les éclaire. Il invente des territoires où tout semble organisé pour lui, jusqu’à donner naissance à un monde qui finit par exister presque indépendamment de ceux qui l’ont créé. La ville devient alors un espace autonome, presque fictionnel. Un décor immense où les lumières, les ombres, les architectures et les flux semblent suivre leurs propres règles.
