For the 2026 Marina Bay Countdown, I stood at the Helix Bridge watching the sky erupt, but I chose to look for the life hidden within the light.  This vertical poster, "Is this a Phoenix?", is a symmetrical re-imagining of that first midnight of 2026. By mirroring the vibrant rainbow fireworks and stacking the architectural icons of Singapore, a mythical silhouette emerged from the data. To some, it is the 'Sovereign Butterfly'—a regal symbol of grace and the quiet metamorphosis into a new and beautiful life. To others, it is a Phoenix rising, fueled by the explosive energy of the city’s celebration.  I chose this title to invite the community to engage with the 'soul' of the image. Whether you see the delicate wings of a butterfly or the fiery ascent of a phoenix, the essence remains the same: a powerful, vertical rise into a new chapter. This piece marks the beginning of a year where we define our own rebirth, spreading our wings over the foundations of the past to soar into a vibrant 2026. | Victor Zhuo]]></title>

          <title><![CDATA[A few days back, I had the privilege of attending a Kathakali performance at Kalamandam centre in Fort Kochi. I was also welcomed to watch them prepare themselves for the performance. Right from the base makeup, to the quills added to make the broad jaw, the frills added to make the flawless  outfit and then the stunning jewellery.It was so thrilling to see it all come together in a span of 3 hours which were dedicatedly spent in donning a persona that felt so real.  This photograph is also a part of 'Hands that speak' a series of photos/videos I capture to show people from different walks of life through small gestures in the form of photos/ videos. | AnushkaR]]></title>

          <title><![CDATA[아마 우리가 곧 마주하게 될 가을 풍경입니다. 가을을 그다지 좋아하는 편은 아니었는데요, 풍경을 즐기고, 좋아하는 사람들과 함께 보낸 기억이 늘어갈수록 가을이 좋아지게 되었습니다. 이 사진은 혼자 홋카이도에 놀러갔을 때 촬영했고, '황홀하다'라는 감각을 느껴 이름을 '홀경(惚境)'이라 짓게 되었습니다. '유키무시'라고 하는 지독한 벌레를 만나 꽤 고생하기도 했고, 완벽하게 세팅하고 촬영한 장면이 아니기 때문에 다소 어지럽기도 하지만, 마음의 일렁거림이 제법 담겨졌다고 생각해 좋아하는 사진입니다.  This is probably the autumn scenery we’ll soon encounter. I took this photo when I traveled alone to Hokkaido, and I felt a sense of "An Enchanted Realm," which inspired me to name it "Holgyeong (惚境)." I had quite a hard time dealing with a pesky insect called "Yukimushi," and since the scene wasn’t perfectly set up for the shoot, it might seem a bit chaotic.           <title><![CDATA[I was drawn to the realm of infrared photography for the way it plays with light and colour beyond what we can visibly see day to day — like uncovering a hidden layer of the world, almost painterly at times. This image was shot at the newly built Jurong Lake Gardens, on the bridge facing towards Cascade Pavilion. Using a full-spectrum converted NEX-6 with a 16mm F2.8 prime lens and an 850nm filter, the result is a high-contrast sky with glowing foliage while the dark roof of the pavilion grounds the composition. Coincidentally, two ladies in dresses happened to be walking through, appearing bright white in the shot and naturally drawing the eye to the centre. The pavilion opening also frames them from within, almost like a screen inside the image. Going forward, I'm still exploring how full-spectrum photography can be used to reframe familiar spaces — not just in black and white, as I've also worked in other colour spectrums — making the everyday feel strangely unfamiliar. | Iak Gnix]]></title>
