Yi Peng is originated from Lanna culture in northern Thailand. It means the second full moon of lanna calender month, is a religious event that people put up the lanterns to show devotion to Buddha, to worship the god in the high heaven. It is believed that lantern will carry away all the unfortunate things and making ways for good luck and bright future.
