Chinatown gets busy amidst covid, in Feb 2021. Red is forbidding but also auspicious, depending on how you look at it. Chinatown in Singapore has always been one of my favourite places to photograph no matter how much it has become gentrified. There are still bits of authenticity remaining in the older generation who still frequent the area. It is a simple moment but I love the small nuances to be had in the gusto of this elderly woman as she crosses the road.
