Subject : Above the Deck Camera : Nikon F80 Lens : Nikkor 50mm F1.8 Film : Kodak ColorPlus 200 Above the deck, the ship reaches toward the sky. Antennas, lights, ladders, cables, and radar equipment rise one above another, each with its own purpose. From below, they almost seem chaotic. But on a working vessel, nothing is placed here without a reason. Every piece of equipment is part of communication, navigation, safety, or simply the daily operation of the ship. Most people notice the hull first. But a ship is also this — a forest of metal above the deck, constantly watching, receiving, sending, and guiding. Against the clear blue sky, all of that machinery suddenly feels almost delicate. For a moment, the working parts of the ship become a kind of geometry.
