Foliage under the water This is a snapshot from a trip I went on a few years back in France. To me, it is thus a memory of that time. The image itself, in its aesthetics, is rather abstract and does not refer to any specific location—it could be anywhere with water and some foliage underneath. It is both a memory and a metaphor thereof: the foliage as the memory, and the water as the passage of time that persists, where memory submerges, while at times it slips through and peeks out, intruding into consciousness.
