The reflection of the church - On my daily walk between home and work, I pass one of Gothenburg’s most iconic churches. Rather than capturing its famous height, I focused on its reflection in the water to find a new perspective on a familiar sight. Choosing black and white helps strip away distractions, highlighting the quiet mood and the ripples in the surface. In these images, the solid stone of the city becomes fluid and dreamlike. This series is a tribute to the beauty we often overlook in our everyday routines. | Thitipong Sansanayuth

I met this man one morning at the local markets, surrounded by the sounds of vendors calling out and the smell of fresh fruit and street food in the air. We sat together as strangers for ten minutes that felt timeless. He spoke no English, and I spoke only basic Thai, just enough for simple conversation, yet somehow we shared something far deeper. Through gestures, smiles, laughter, and patient listening, we spoke about life, family, and the beauty of everyday moments. I love overcoming language barriers, and Thailand has shown me how powerful human connection can be when both people are willing to meet halfway The Thai people carry a rare kindness that is gentle, open, and endlessly welcoming.
“Not all heroes wear capes, some make them” is a photographic project centered on the tailors of Singapore. In a rapidly modernising city, tailoring has quietly become a fading craft, often overlooked and undervalued. Through this series, I hope to draw attention back to these artisans who have spent decades honing their skill. The visual approach focuses on raw, intimate details—the worn textures of an ageing tailoring shop, the quiet stillness of the space, and the lines etched on her face. These elements are not signs of decline, but of experience, resilience, and mastery. Every crease and surface tells a story of time, patience, and dedication to a craft that once held greater prominence. As society shifts toward technology and more “advanced” professions, traditional trades like tailoring risk being forgotten. This project is an attempt to pause, observe, and appreciate the hands that continue to create, repair, and sustain. In doing so, it serves as both a tribute and a gentle call to notice those whose work, though often unseen, has long shaped the fabric of everyday life. | Arthur Liew
