I saw them starting to form these human pyramids and circles, and I knew I had to get a different view. I actually sat down on the ground and leaned back to shoot from a very low angle. I wanted to show how they look up at each other and support one another. In the distance, three people sat quietly on the vast salt flats. Before them stood a mountain range, with the sun slowly descending behind it. Seeing this scene, I instinctively raised my camera and pressed the shutter. What moved me in that moment was the quiet power of nature, its scale, its stillness, and its beauty. Standing there, I felt how small we are in comparison, and how many of the worries we carry in daily life fade when placed against something so immense. I am mainly a self proclaimed “cat photographer” now since I’ve been taking pictures of street cats in a park that is inside a super crowded area. I am not quite sure how the first batch of cats got there but they are mostly the offsprings of stray cats being abandoned there years ago. I chose this picture particularly due to the fact that the moment is just so immaculate that he cat is posing like a guy with cool aura, that’s it. I was just walking around and happen to saw this young gentleman chilling, who seemed to be reflecting on his life. I thought the tree and the castle behind were complementary features to the picture at such a perfect angle to where he is seated, hence I took this shot! A vision of this image would be that, in life, as we grow older and our pace of life gets faster where we face multiple life stages (from finishing our education, to getting an occupation, settling our future homes), there are so many seasons in our life such that there will be ups and downs. The dried autumn tree has its leaves shed, but the leaves will grow back again. This represents that even when we get lost in the midst of living, it's okay to face setbacks and have your leaves all shedded off. However, you will bounce up from your obstacles and grow out of them, which represents the leaves growing once again. This reflects your personal growth. The castle represents a Home, where despite whatever challenges you face in your life, there will be a Home for you. That can be your inner self love, your family who will love and support you, your close friends who you confide in or anyone you know you can return to peacefully, safe and sound amidst life's chaos and obstacles. I was with my friend walking around the area and I happened to see this lovely couple having their pre-wedding photoshoot right in front of the water fountain at the venue. I realised I had another angle that's a bit closer to the couple than what the photographer intended, and I decided to take my shot! I love seeing wedding photography / videography, as somebody who did wedding videography before. My vision for this photo is, well, I hope everyone in their lives, be it single or attached or married, I hope that you (as the black shirt man) remember to love yourself while loving your inner child / your partner / your spouse (as the woman in the wedding dress). The shadows of the Woman's feet being lifted up by the man represents that, everyone regardless of their marital status, should have love in their life where they can overcome any obstacles together and be happy / contented with oneself (be it alone or as a nucleus). The natural Rainbow formed behind them was such a magnificent feature to be present in their photo. I hope everyone can remember that there are different colours to defining love and our feelings, because love is never a fixed shade or colour.
