I was also welcomed to watch them prepare themselves for the performance. Right from the base makeup, to the quills added to make the broad jaw, the frills added to make the flawless outfit and then the stunning jewellery.It was so thrilling to see it all come together in a span of 3 hours which were dedicatedly spent in donning a persona that felt so real. But the street has a way of interrupting. In the foreground, an auto-rickshaw driver had dropped his pants, re-tucking his shirt. A gesture of professional pride performed with total indifference to the public eye. While one half of the street is conscious of how they are seen, the other is simply existing in the thick of a long workday.
