March, Unlived I left before the thaw could speak, before the sidewalks loosened their grip on salt and silence. In the country where I am from, March is a quiet revolution— not loud, not certain, but felt in the soft rebellion of light lingering just a breath longer on familiar walls. Here, where I chose to live for now, seasons do not hesitate. The air is already complete, lush, unwavering— no trembling in-between. And yet I find myself missing that fragile hesitation. The way winter would loosen its cold fingers slowly, as if unsure it should let go. The way people would almost smile again, as if remembering something they hadn’t needed in months. I traded that uncertainty for endless warmth, for skies that do not question themselves. But March— March was never about certainty. It was about sitting between worlds, coat half-open, heart unsure, waiting for something unnamed to return. Somewhere, my family gathers around a table set for Easter, voices rising like the first birds, familiar, imperfect, whole. And here, palm leaves move without memory. I chose the sun, but I think of that soft, grey light— how it carried hope not as a promise, but as a possibility. And maybe that is what I miss most: not the cold, not the country— but the feeling of something beginning without knowing if it will last. | analogbysissi

For the first Europe trip of my life, I decided to go to Portugal and Spain during the summer of 2025. For this trip, I wanted to do film simulations to maximize the European summer sun. Hence, I applied Veres Deni Alex' recipes , but with a few tweaks based on the available features on my cam. This is a playful view of Segovia's popular spot -- the Viaduct. A friend strongly recommended me to go on a day trip here (and Toledo) as it's one of the most important remnants of the Romans in Spain. This was probably one of my 'chillest' day since I didn't have to DIY my way around, and I admired the tour guide who had to explain things both in Spanish and English (for tourists like me). | _jotriessomething

I went to this park in Yokohama around end-Feb 2025 because, according to ChatGPT, it was supposed to be a good time to see the blooms at their peak. Plot twist: I got lost on the way, and when I finally arrived, I only found a handful that were just about to bloom. It was honestly a bit disappointing, but I still took the photo because they were pretty as they were. Looking at this now, it reminds me of what we all go through in life — that even when the timing of a season feels a little off, there can still be something worth seeing or learning, and maybe even a reason we ended up here to begin with. | _jotriessomething

This photograph was taken in South Iceland in 2019 during a road trip to celebrate turning thirty that year. Back then, it didn’t just mark a birthday, but also a personal milestone, one that was of pausing, reflecting, and choosing to step into a new decade with curiosity and courage. This image wasn’t easy to capture. Iceland is known for its powerful winds, and flying a drone against those winds meant that the drone's battery would drain much more quickly. I quickly realised that flying harder was not the way to go, and that I had to think differently. Instead of forcing my way through the wind, I had to allow the wind to work with me. So I landed the drone, hopped into the car with my friends, and drove nearly two kilometres ahead before launching my drone again, allowing the winds to guide me as I surveyed the landscape. By then, a storm was approaching, and I felt a strong sense of urgency, but I knew I had to stay focused and calm. Then this river stood out amongst the smaller streams, carving its way into the distance. In that moment, I knew I had to find the right composition. After capturing the shot, I felt an immense sense of satisfaction and elation. Not just because I succeeded technically, but because the photograph embodied something deeper. It reminded me to adapt instead of resist, and that sometimes, working with the forces around us leads to something far more meaningful. | Nicholas
