Una persona cammina in un vicolo mattutino avvolto dalla nebbia con la luce del sole che filtra

The Morning I Almost Missed I set out to photograph a foggy morning. A friend had promised to wake me before dawn, but he overslept. Somehow, my own instinct woke me just in time. I rushed into the city, expecting to find the dark, mist-covered streets I had imagined. By the time I arrived, the scene I had planned for was gone. The fog had thinned, the darkness had faded, and sunrise was already beginning to claim the streets. For a moment, it felt like I had missed the photograph entirely. But as I walked through the city, I noticed the haze catching the early sunlight, turning the narrow street into a corridor of light and shadow. A solitary figure emerged in the distance, and everything aligned for only a few seconds. This photograph is a reminder that photography is often less about finding what you planned for and more about recognizing what is offered instead. The image exists because the morning didn't go according to plan.
