Not scrolling quickly. Not typing much. Just checking it again and again, as if waiting for something to appear. A message. A name. A call. I did not know what he was waiting for. But his posture made the waiting visible. The way he leaned forward, the phone held in both hands, and the quiet concentration on the small screen made the rest of the space seem almost unimportant. Sometimes waiting does not look dramatic. It is simply checking the same screen one more time, hoping that something has changed since the last time. Perhaps nothing happened. Perhaps the call eventually came. I only photographed the part in between.
