Rather than capturing its famous height, I focused on its reflection in the water to find a new perspective on a familiar sight. Choosing black and white helps strip away distractions, highlighting the quiet mood and the ripples in the surface. In these images, the solid stone of the city becomes fluid and dreamlike. This series is a tribute to the beauty we often overlook in our everyday routines. | Thitipong Sansanayuth

I had to get up to the highest floor in the Pan Pacific hotel without getting caught, I waited for 1 hour hoping to get someone crossing the bridge and also not get caught by security. With little to no hope, no one crossed, right as I was about to leave I spotted a Bride and a Groom walking across the bridge to take their wedding photo. I took out my camera and i shot this amazing photo. I hope to find this couple somewhere in Singapore and pass them this beautiful photo. | Danish Yaqin

For thirteen years, photography has taught me to slow down and notice the quiet poetry of everyday life. I am drawn to ordinary people doing ordinary things—walking, waiting, working, resting. Moments that often pass unnoticed, yet through the lens these fleeting fragments become something extraordinary. On Charles Bridge in Prague, during golden hour, a street artist sketches the portrait of a passing tourist while the world moves around them. In a scene filled with faces, the only one we do not see is the artist’s—hidden as he brings another’s likeness to life. For me, this simple moment reflects the heart of my photography: finding wonder in the ordinary and meaning in moments we often tend to miss in our everday lives. | Trishita Bhattacharya

During a night out I booked a solo trip to Berlin. I had never been on a plane or abroad on my own. My first night there was cold and I could not sleep so I decided to get my camera out and take some photos to pass the time. A car sped through a set of traffic lights and this is the image that was created. It gave me a sense of clarity within my life and the trip as a whole helped me move forward and moulded me. I look back on this image often when I am feeling rudderless or that I am not achieving personal goals. Although this is not a fond memory it is one that has gained a positive meaning over time. | Kentledger

Under the fluorescent glow of 7‑Eleven, a quiet kind of democracy unfolds. Here, in the threshold between street and shelter, differences dissolve—if only for a moment. Foreigners in transit, Thai locals on routine, migrant workers from Myanmar on break: they all arrive with the same gestures, the same small transactions, the same pause in motion. The counter becomes a shared horizon, where currencies, languages, and lives briefly align. In Thailand, 7/11 is more than a convenience store—it is infrastructure, ritual, and refuge. It punctuates the day with iced coffees, toasted sandwiches, and the soft hum of air conditioning. It is a place of arrival without destination. Yet, embedded in this familiarity is a quiet tension: the rhythm of consumption mirrors the transient pace of those who pass through it. Quick, efficient, replaceable. A culture of immediacy—mirroring the itinerant lives of travelers who drift through, never fully staying. There is a tenderness in this contradiction. Everyone loves 7/11. Not despite its uniformity, but because of it. It offers consistency in a landscape of movement. But that same consistency flattens difference, turning moments into transactions, encounters into routines. This photograph captures that ambivalence. The saturated red hue—produced by pre-souped Kodak Gold 200 film—bathes the scene in a sense of heat and nostalgia, as if the image itself is dissolving under the weight of time and repetition. The familiar green-orange stripes are still visible, but altered, almost overwhelmed. What remains is an atmosphere: dense, fleeting, and slightly melancholic. A place where everyone meets—yet no one stays. | analogbysissi

This photo was taken on 29 October 2024, when I was doing my solo day trip around Tallinn, Estonia! I was just walking around and happen to saw this young gentleman chilling, who seemed to be reflecting on his life. I thought the tree and the castle behind were complementary features to the picture at such a perfect angle to where he is seated, hence I took this shot! A vision of this image would be that, in life, as we grow older and our pace of life gets faster where we face multiple life stages (from finishing our education, to getting an occupation, settling our future homes), there are so many seasons in our life such that there will be ups and downs. The dried autumn tree has its leaves shed, but the leaves will grow back again. This represents that even when we get lost in the midst of living, it's okay to face setbacks and have your leaves all shedded off. However, you will bounce up from your obstacles and grow out of them, which represents the leaves growing once again. This reflects your personal growth. The castle represents a Home, where despite whatever challenges you face in your life, there will be a Home for you. That can be your inner self love, your family who will love and support you, your close friends who you confide in or anyone you know you can return to peacefully, safe and sound amidst life's chaos and obstacles. The gentleman resting can be you, but this picture shows that Life goes on as days pass by regardless of how tough or happy your day may be. You just have to remember through your journey, you will value personal growth and have love in your life. | Chan Jian Liang

Raeng Nóm Jai The Force That Draws the Heart I had already packed my bag when I noticed them. The light was sinking fast, turning the sky into a quiet fire. The game had been going on for hours — dust rising, shoes scraping against concrete, laughter mixing with competition. Nothing extraordinary, just boys playing before night took the court back. But something shifted. One of them held the ball differently. His body leaned forward, not to pass, not to hesitate — but to rise. I felt it before it happened. The frame formed in my mind: the jump, the defender’s reach, the sun suspended behind them like a witness. My battery was nearly dead. I did not have time to test, to adjust, to repeat. There would be no second attempt. No correction. Just instinct. I turned the camera on. For a fraction of a second, everything aligned — body, ball, light, horizon. They lifted into the air, and I pressed the shutter once. Then the camera died. The ball would fall. The players would land. The sun would disappear. The game would continue as if nothing monumental had occurred. But that single frame remained. Raeng Nóm Jai — the force that draws the heart — is not gravity as science explains it. It is the pull toward a moment before it fully reveals itself. It is the discipline to trust what you feel forming. The courage to act without certainty of outcome. I do not chase images. I wait until they begin to pull at me — until hesitation becomes heavier than risk. Like gravity, art draws the human heart toward what feels true. In that one unrepeated second, instinct outweighed fear. And that was enough. | John Hupa

This photograph was taken during my journey through Liangshan. The day was bitterly cold, and the air was heavy with moisture. The cold did not feel like something that merely touched the skin—it felt as though it could pass through clothing and sink deep into the body. We crossed one frost-covered hill after another, and at the top of one of them, we came across a solitary house. There were no other people in sight for nearly a kilometer, yet inside lived a young brother and sister, both no older than about five. They told us that the adults had gone to the market to sell cattle and sheep, leaving the two of them at home alone. There was no light in the house, and the floor was rough, cold concrete. Even with boots on, I could feel my toes growing painfully numb, yet they walked barefoot across the frost-covered floor as if they had long since grown used to it. Their runny noses clung to the tips of their noses, drying and wetting again and again, becoming one of the most direct traces of that winter day. We asked them what they usually did at home, and they answered, quite naturally, that they liked biting thick pieces of cardboard for fun. As they spoke, they really did begin to bite into it. In that moment, I felt a quiet sadness. But then a beam of sunlight fell across the child’s face, and he burst into laughter, as if the harshness around him had not managed to define him. At that instant, I realized that what I was seeing was no longer just poverty or cold, but something far stronger—the resilience of life itself. This photograph is important to me not because it documents hardship in a remote place, but because it reminds me that even in the most unforgiving environments, people can still hold on to joy, vitality, and light. What I felt that day was not simply sympathy, nor the shock of an outsider looking in, but a deep sense of respect. To me, this photograph is not about suffering. It is about resilience. It is not about deprivation, but about the light that remains, even within it. | 熊寶

| 熊寶
