Having received a Japanese education, the language was very familiar to her. However, since I cannot speak Japanese, we were never able to have deep conversations before she passed away. Two years ago, I met this woman selling steamed buns in Japan. When she spoke kindly to me in Japanese, I was reminded of my grandmother. She always watched over me with a smile, even though we couldn't speak the same language. Every time I look at this photo, I realize that even without words, her love was conveyed through her smile.
