I was fortunate to chance upon this female Long-tailed Macaque cradling her infant at the summit of Bukit Timah Hill, the highest natural point in Singapore. Coincidentally, a human mother is captured in the background tending to her daughter's hair—a fleeting moment where she mirrors the macaque, highlighting the universality of parental instincts. These two worlds exist in tangent, both nurturing their offspring as they reach the peak. | Brennan Chin (Visual Moments)

The world of macro is a different universe altogether. What may seem small, unnoticed, or even frightening to the naked eye becomes something astonishing when seen up close. Through a macro lens and a touch of flash, every detail reveals itself — the texture of the centipede’s body, the delicate wings of the moth, the raw intensity of nature unfolding in silence. It may look scary at first glance, but step closer and you’ll discover a hidden world filled with drama, beauty, and stories we rarely pause to see. | Bryan Goh

For the first Europe trip of my life, I decided to go to Portugal and Spain during summer. For this trip, I wanted to do film simulations to maximise the European summer sun. Hence, I applied Veres Deni Alex' recipes , but with a few tweaks based on the available features on my cam. An unforgettable place I visited was Alhambra, one of the oldest and best-preserved palaces during the Arab rule in Spain. I was in awe of the architecture -- from its intricate details to the way the sunlight naturally illuminated the spaces. I found myself slowing down, wandering through the grounds, and really taking in both the history and the atmosphere. Sharing one of my favourite shots from that day. | _jotriessomething

This photo was taken last year during the Chinese New Year period, where I stumbled upon this monastery nearby where I live. As I explored the place, I started taking notice of this one elderly lady circling this large structure by herself as she recites her prayer and holds onto her incense. What drew me to this scene was how shooting through the plastic cover (used to shelter the place) helps blur the colours and detail of the structure behind her and silhouette the woman even more, which helps really translate the feeling of serene isolation I wanted to capture. To me, street photography has always been about having the sense to capture the scenes in the everyday that might've otherwise gone unnoticed, but the ability to further express the emotional depth within a particular moment on top of authenticity is what has led me to start adopting abstract elements in my photography. | a.da.md

To me, street photography has always been about having the sense to capture the scenes in the everyday that might've otherwise gone unnoticed, but the ability to further express the emotional depth within a particular moment on top of authenticity is what has led me to start adopting abstract elements in my photography. | a.da.md

What drew me to this scene in particular is how shooting through the plastic cover (made to shelter the place) helped blur the detail and mesh the colours of the structure, in addition to further silhouetting the woman who already looks so small in the frame, emphasizing on the sense of lone serenity that intrigued me about this moment.
“Not all heroes wear capes, some make them” is a photographic project centered on the tailors of Singapore. In a rapidly modernising city, tailoring has quietly become a fading craft, often overlooked and undervalued. Through this series, I hope to draw attention back to these artisans who have spent decades honing their skill. The visual approach focuses on raw, intimate details—the worn textures of an ageing tailoring shop, the quiet stillness of the space, and the lines etched on her face. These elements are not signs of decline, but of experience, resilience, and mastery. Every crease and surface tells a story of time, patience, and dedication to a craft that once held greater prominence. As society shifts toward technology and more “advanced” professions, traditional trades like tailoring risk being forgotten. This project is an attempt to pause, observe, and appreciate the hands that continue to create, repair, and sustain. In doing so, it serves as both a tribute and a gentle call to notice those whose work, though often unseen, has long shaped the fabric of everyday life. | Arthur Liew

Title: Dining with her Series: Dreams Status: On-going About: This is the first entry in this series, this as part of photo-essay will have a total of 15 main pictorial works and supporting supplements. “Dreams", in this series I wanted to pictorialize what I could remember from my most vivid, intense, and memorable dreams that occurred / occurs to me during the REM phase, which is said to be the primary, deep-sleep stage. REM dreams are often characterized as intense, emotional, and story-like, compared to non-REM dreams, which are often more thought-like or brief. This stage is said to be characterized by high brain activity, rapid eye movement, and temporary muscle paralysis. It typically happens in cycles throughout the night, aiding in memory consolidation, emotional regulation, and cognitive function. I could not remember everything or every dream, but I note down and visualise what I could remember in my journal, this is also an effort to understand human persona & individual psyche, I try to detach myself from self and observe as an outsider treating myself as a mere subject. I try to be impartial and restrict projection of personal beliefs when making these observations. - - - Details: Mamiya RB67, Mamiya-Sekor Macro C 150/4.5 Fomapan 100 Fomadon LQN Year: August, 2025 - present Photo: November 2025 *** | Eli Mastaine
