This was taken while my family were just taking a break at the nearby McDonald’s. I headed up to a place with a view of a crossing outside Shinjuku station. Everything fell in place, the lighting, her monochromatic dressing that matched the light & shadow and the painted white stripes on the floor. I hope that I also captured the sense of motion of the pedestrian who had rushed to cross, just as the traffic lights were changing, the swish of her hair as she looked left while the rest of the crowd was in abeyance.
