It felt like everything had come full circle when, after learning to dive, I encountered fully grown sea turtles underwater. Considering the many challenges they face right from hatching to adulthood, seeing them thriving in their natural habitat felt nothing short of miraculous. I was in the jungles of India and travelling in an open top jeep as usual. On a small bumpy road we saw a deer running and jumping across the road about 5 yards in front of us. We kept driving and suddenly we see that a Tiger was chasing the Deer and as our jeep reached that point - the Tiger was in his stride to jump across the road in an attempt to catch the deer. The Tiger stopped as soon as he saw our jeep in his path. If we were even half a second late - the TIger may not have been able to stop and likely would have leapt - probably landing in our jeep. He stopped in time - he sat and stared at us for a while and then walked away from the jeep. We waited in the area - and the Tiger also staye din the vicinity - sitting for a bit and then walking around.
