Here in urban Singapore, we have the 3rd largest species of deer in world (Sambar deer/Rusa unicolor). They occasionally venture out to areas near roads, to feed on vegetation that grows outside of the secondary forests. Unseen by many, these shy creatures prefer to avoid human encounters as they feed throughout the night. As responsible motorists/cyclists, we can all make an effort to observe a safe speed, while on roads flanking the central catchment area. It is taken recently during our hang out at Ampang area. There are a lot of people coming here for the sun set else they have to go for a long distance for the sunset at seaside. When the sun coming down, everyone start to enjoy the moment. It goes very slow, and the light shone is warm keeps me calms and relaxed, I believe everyone feels the same. My girlfriend was sick and having pain on that day. Perhaps at this moment it cured her feeling and make her more comfortable for the rest of the day. I was in the middle of photographing a model for a fashion shoot when I noticed a man standing nearby, looking back for just a brief moment. Instinctively, I captured the frame and immediately returned to the shoot. That is what I love most about photography — sometimes you simply find yourself in the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment, and a fleeting moment turns into an image that stays. What makes this photograph special to me is its universality. Although it was taken in the port area of Abu Dhabi, the scene feels unbound by geography. I am mainly a self proclaimed “cat photographer” now since I’ve been taking pictures of street cats in a park that is inside a super crowded area. I am not quite sure how the first batch of cats got there but they are mostly the offsprings of stray cats being abandoned there years ago. I chose this picture particularly due to the fact that the moment is just so immaculate that he cat is posing like a guy with cool aura, that’s it.
