My friend, who is living with cancer, became a quiet presence through which these feelings surfaced. The dried flowers reference what has already passed — fragility, time, and the inevitability of change. Through this image, I am trying to view death differently: to embrace its presence, and in doing so, to celebrate the life that remains. Often, we do not truly think about death until it touches someone close to us. | Lousycameraman

I had to get up to the highest floor in the Pan Pacific hotel without getting caught, I waited for 1 hour hoping to get someone crossing the bridge and also not get caught by security. With little to no hope, no one crossed, right as I was about to leave I spotted a Bride and a Groom walking across the bridge to take their wedding photo. I took out my camera and i shot this amazing photo. I hope to find this couple somewhere in Singapore and pass them this beautiful photo. | Danish Yaqin

Let your light shine It’s always a surprise, how something so small can have a very big meaning. This small flame is just there caring for nothing like if it’s a day or night. It’s just there letting it’s light shine. Giving light if someone needs it. I think this pretty much gives a reflection of what I am and what I want to be. Being a great believer in God or universe if you say, I took this photo at night during my prayers. The interesting thing about this lamp, is that if you look close enough, you will see a flower & sometimes I have seen butterflies too. Whenever I see them I believe that my prayer has been heard. Around 2019, I started blending different images together, mostly out of instinct. I wasn’t trying to say anything specific. I was just experimenting, chasing energy, and making work that felt exciting. When I looked at this image, it made me remember a version of myself I hadn’t thought about in a while. Someone younger, reckless with energy, shooting almost every other weekend, posting constantly, chasing progress and social credit without questioning it. This image feels like those two versions existing at the same time. Not a before and after, but an overlap. It made me wonder if we forget how foolishly passionate we once were about the things we’re still doing every day. | Don Lim

In the restless heart of Mumbai, the historic Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Building rises like a silent monument to time. Its intricate architecture stands unmoved, rooted in history, while the world around it flows endlessly. The streaks of light racing across the frame are not merely vehicles—they are fragments of human stories. Each trail is a journey, a fleeting moment of someone chasing a destination, a dream, or simply tomorrow. In contrast, the illuminated structure remains calm and composed, as if quietly observing the city’s endless rhythm. This photograph becomes a dialogue between permanence and impermanence. The building represents memory, identity, and the weight of the past, while the flowing lights symbolize the urgency of the present and the uncertainty of the future. Together they form a visual metaphor for Mumbai itself—a city where history stands firm while millions of dreams rush forward every second. | Nishikantsnaps

This photograph was made in Shirakawa-go, a small mountain village in Japan known for its traditional gassho-style houses. During winter, the landscape transforms into a quiet monochrome world where layers of mountains, forests, and snow shape the atmosphere of the village. Rather than focusing on dramatic moments, the work observes stillness and atmosphere. The village appears small against the surrounding mountains, while a lone hut in the foreground anchors the scene within the vast winter landscape. Snow softens the terrain and simplifies the forms, allowing the quiet character of the place to emerge. As someone who primarily photographs street and documentary work, where moments unfold quickly and unpredictably, standing in this winter landscape was a very different experience. The stillness of the village and the gentle rhythm of falling snow invited a slower way of seeing — one that simply allows the landscape to reveal itself in its own time. | Serene Teo

This work documents the vibrant Vittal Birdev Yatra, also known as the Yellow Festival, celebrated in Pattan Kodoli near Kolhapur, Maharashtra. What drew me to this festival was not just the explosion of turmeric in the air, but the faith behind it. Thousands of devotees gather, chanting and covering everything in yellow as a symbol of devotion, hope, and gratitude for a good agricultural season. At the heart of the festival sits Sri Keloba Rajabau Waghmode, lovingly called the “Old Man,” under a banyan tree. People throw haldi over him and seek his blessings. He is believed to be a messenger of God, someone who predicts rain, farming conditions, and the community’s future. Through my photographs, I wanted to capture more than color I wanted to show belief, tradition, and the emotional connection between people and ritual. One challenge was working in dense turmeric clouds, protecting my gear while staying present in the moment. Going forward, I want to continue documenting such cultural stories that reflect India’s deep rooted heritage and living traditions. | Streetwala

Happiness and grief are not emotions you would expect to co-exist at a wedding but somehow, it did for me on the day my older brother and sister-in-law got married. In 2022, months before my brother and sister-in-law got married, my paternal granddad passed on, missing his chance to see his very first grandchild get married. And being the secondary photographer at your sibling's wedding with that reminder just flashing through your mind the entire day, it silently increases the weight of your role and responsibility to document the occasion. Photographed is my paternal grandma who is still alive but does not remember my granddad due to her dementia and my brother alongside my sister-in-law who is telling my grandma that they were getting married that very day. The reason I chose this photo among all the photos I shot that day was because of how intimate it felt and how it reminded me of the importance of documentation. Although my granddad never made it to the wedding, my grandma did and for that, I'm thankful I got to document these moments during such a loaded occasion. With all that in mind, I hope you walk away from this photo, documenting more moments in your own life because someday, someone would want to look back on a moment when they still had you. | Tristan Tan
