매화(梅花)/ Among the apricot blossoms of apricot trees, the apricot blossoms that bloom red flowers are called red apricots. This picture was taken using Kodak Aerofilm on Yashika Electro 35. Aerofilm is a medium- and high-altitude aviation reconnaissance film with a film with a lot of red sticking out. Therefore, I tried to maximize the red color by taking a red apricot with this film. The apricot flower is said to be the first flower to bloom in spring through winter. Therefore, the apricot flower symbolizes incision and noble mind. I thought that the red apricot flower turns red in winter by bleeding from the bitter wind as the white petals of the existing apricot flower bloom. I thought that the red apricot flower was a difficult blooming and extracting red beauty. Even if you look at the red color of the red apricot flower and feel tired and painful now, it would be good to know that the blood you shed now makes you look the most beautiful | umani

We were simply wandering through the busy streets when I noticed this man slowly riding his scooter toward me. Something about the moment felt visually striking the crowd, the street, and his calm presence moving through the chaos. Instinctively, I stepped into the middle of the road, framed the scene, and took the shot just as he approached. It was a very spontaneous photograph, captured in a split second. What drew me to the image later was how it reflects the rhythm of everyday street life unpredictable, busy, yet full of small cinematic moments waiting to be noticed. | Binay Parida

I was initially drawn to the visual harmony in the background: a woman in black-and-white walking her dog, their outfits matching with a deliberate aesthetic and symmetry. But the street has a way of interrupting. In the foreground, an auto-rickshaw driver had dropped his pants, re-tucking his shirt. A gesture of professional pride performed with total indifference to the public eye. While one half of the street is conscious of how they are seen, the other is simply existing in the thick of a long workday.
Title: Is this a Phoenix? Story: How do we visualize a new start? For the 2026 Marina Bay Countdown, I stood at the Helix Bridge watching the sky erupt, but I chose to look for the life hidden within the light. This vertical poster, "Is this a Phoenix?", is a symmetrical re-imagining of that first midnight of 2026. By mirroring the vibrant rainbow fireworks and stacking the architectural icons of Singapore, a mythical silhouette emerged from the data. To some, it is the 'Sovereign Butterfly'—a regal symbol of grace and the quiet metamorphosis into a new and beautiful life. To others, it is a Phoenix rising, fueled by the explosive energy of the city’s celebration. I chose this title to invite the community to engage with the 'soul' of the image. Whether you see the delicate wings of a butterfly or the fiery ascent of a phoenix, the essence remains the same: a powerful, vertical rise into a new chapter. This piece marks the beginning of a year where we define our own rebirth, spreading our wings over the foundations of the past to soar into a vibrant 2026. | Victor Zhuo

“The Wait for the Perfect Sunset” 🌇 There’s something magical about watching the sun meet the sea — especially at the Worli Sea Link. That evening, I stood there with my camera ready, but the shot I wanted wasn’t just any sunset. I wanted the sun exactly at the centre of the bridge. It sounds simple, but it took patience — a lot of it. I waited as the light kept changing every minute, as the orange turned to gold, then to a soft pink that kissed the horizon. Cars kept rushing by, waves kept breaking below, but I stayed still, focused, watching through my lens. There were moments when I thought I’d missed it… but then, right when the world seemed to slow down, the sun aligned perfectly between the arches. That single frame — calm sea, glowing sky, and the silhouette of the bridge — made all the waiting worth it. Sometimes photography isn’t about clicking fast — it’s about slowing down, breathing in the moment, and letting nature show you when it’s ready. | Brandon Pinto

'유키무시'라고 하는 지독한 벌레를 만나 꽤 고생하기도 했고, 완벽하게 세팅하고 촬영한 장면이 아니기 때문에 다소 어지럽기도 하지만, 마음의 일렁거림이 제법 담겨졌다고 생각해 좋아하는 사진입니다. This is probably the autumn scenery we’ll soon encounter. I didn’t particularly like autumn, but as I’ve accumulated memories of enjoying the scenery and spending time with people I cherish, I’ve grown to love it. I took this photo when I traveled alone to Hokkaido, and I felt a sense of "An Enchanted Realm," which inspired me to name it "Holgyeong (惚境)." I had quite a hard time dealing with a pesky insect called "Yukimushi," and since the scene wasn’t perfectly set up for the shoot, it might seem a bit chaotic. However, I believe it captures the stirring emotions I felt at the time, which is why I like this photo. | JIYEJI

Raeng Nóm Jai The Force That Draws the Heart I had already packed my bag when I noticed them. The light was sinking fast, turning the sky into a quiet fire. The game had been going on for hours — dust rising, shoes scraping against concrete, laughter mixing with competition. Nothing extraordinary, just boys playing before night took the court back. But something shifted. One of them held the ball differently. His body leaned forward, not to pass, not to hesitate — but to rise. I felt it before it happened. The frame formed in my mind: the jump, the defender’s reach, the sun suspended behind them like a witness. My battery was nearly dead. I did not have time to test, to adjust, to repeat. There would be no second attempt. No correction. Just instinct. I turned the camera on. For a fraction of a second, everything aligned — body, ball, light, horizon. They lifted into the air, and I pressed the shutter once. Then the camera died. The ball would fall. The players would land. The sun would disappear. The game would continue as if nothing monumental had occurred. But that single frame remained. Raeng Nóm Jai — the force that draws the heart — is not gravity as science explains it. It is the pull toward a moment before it fully reveals itself. It is the discipline to trust what you feel forming. The courage to act without certainty of outcome. I do not chase images. I wait until they begin to pull at me — until hesitation becomes heavier than risk. Like gravity, art draws the human heart toward what feels true. In that one unrepeated second, instinct outweighed fear. And that was enough. | John Hupa
