This was one of my very first works, back when I’d just stepped out into the world as an assistant photographer. It means a lot to me, especially now, because this marks my 20th year practicing photography, both as a job and as something I genuinely love. Looking back, this image feels like a reminder of how far I’ve come. Everything was so pure back then, still a little naive. Money mattered, sure, but it was never the source of happiness. I just wanted to shoot. If I didn’t have the budget for models or fancy props, I’d make do with whatever was around in the studio I was working at. Maybe this image didn’t fully make sense to me at that point in time but it does now. That’s what makes it even more meaningful. It sums up what photography has taught me over the years: to stay flexible, adapt, and keep creating no matter the circumstances. | Lousycameraman

“I Wasn’t Looking at the Scenery, I Was Looking at Time.” This is my hometown by the sea. The west coast used to be always overcast— a dull grey sky, rusted warehouses, and faint memories cast in shadow. Back in high school, I never really liked this place. Now it’s been redeveloped—cleaner, brighter. And even though none of the old signs remain, I find myself lifting my camera every time I return. The breeze feels softer now. Calmer, somehow more forgiving. Shot with the Nikon Zf. It wasn’t just the landscape that changed. Maybe my way of seeing it did too. #nikonzf #leicalove #minimalismphotography #capitalminimalism #streetphotography #moodytones #photomemoir #visualstorytelling #japanphotography #都市とミニマリズム #キャピタルミニマリズム | Andy

Today I want to share this portrait I made at Singapore Japanese Cemetery Park, a place most people associate with quietness and memory. It’s not where you’d normally go looking for “pretty”, and yet that’s exactly the point: beauty often hides in the least expected places, waiting for us to slow down enough to notice it. The afternoon light was gentle, the bougainvillea was in bloom, and in that stillness, her expression felt even more tender, like a small moment of life whispering back into a space meant for remembrance. I love how photography can do that: it doesn’t erase the weight of a place, but it lets grace exist alongside it. | Keith Wee

I chose this photograph for exhibition because it stands apart from the kind of work I usually create. I was in the middle of photographing a model for a fashion shoot when I noticed a man standing nearby, looking back for just a brief moment. Instinctively, I captured the frame and immediately returned to the shoot. That is what I love most about photography — sometimes you simply find yourself in the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment, and a fleeting moment turns into an image that stays. What makes this photograph special to me is its universality. Although it was taken in the port area of Abu Dhabi, the scene feels unbound by geography. It could exist anywhere in the world, allowing the viewer to project their own place, story, and emotion onto the image. | Sahil Behal
