SIGMA Corporation has announced the release of interchangeable lenses '16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary' and '23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary' for Canon RF mount, available from January 23, 2025 (Thursday). Both products are open-priced.
These products are part of SIGMA's Contemporary line, balancing performance and portability.
16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary
The 16mm F1.4 is a wide-angle lens with an angle of view equivalent to 24mm in 35mm format, suitable for landscape, architectural photography, and video production. It features a lens construction of 13 groups and 16 elements with numerous special glass elements, achieving high resolution from the maximum aperture.
The stepping motor-driven AF provides smooth and quiet focusing, ideal for video recording. It also features a dust- and splash-resistant structure, ensuring reliability even in harsh environments.
23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary
The 23mm F1.4 is a standard lens with an angle of view equivalent to 35mm in 35mm format. It is versatile for portraits, snapshots, and table photography.
The large F1.4 aperture allows for beautiful bokeh, and its compact design makes it easy to carry. With support for fast AF, AF-C, and in-body image stabilization, it handles moving subjects with high precision.
Lens Exchange Service Available
Both models support a lens exchange service to convert existing '16mm F1.4' and '23mm F1.4' lenses to Canon RF mount. This service provides flexible options for users considering a system change.
