Photos of tiger-patterned goods. Compared to other animal patterns like zebra or giraffe, tiger patterns are treated as a special symbol. It's quite a curious phenomenon when you think about it.

Photos of the Hakodate outdoor market. The large, prominent sign suggests a lively area every morning. Its prime location at a major intersection corner might make it a town symbol, referred to by locals as 'the market sign spot'.

Mount Fuji, the undisputed symbol of Japan. Although there were other submissions featuring Mount Fuji, this piece stood out for its high artistic value. The early morning sunrise, the sign pointing towards Fuji, the train heading to Fuji, and the towering Mount Fuji in the background all harmonize beautifully.

What did you think?

While many submissions featured public objects, there must be more personal symbols. From personal experiences to hobbies and preferences, the interpretation is free. Just as some people have a carefree smile as their symbol, it doesn't have to be an object!

We look forward to your submissions! Whether capturing symbols from your hometown or travels, or finding and photographing your own symbol, we await your creative photos.
