The Founding Story of Lomography
The story of Lomography begins in Russia in 1982. At the time, the director of LOMO acquired a Japanese camera, the Cosina CX-1, and based on it, developed an improved version: the LOMO LC-A. In 1991, two university students living in Vienna, Matthias and Wolfgang, encountered the LOMO LC-A in Prague and were captivated by its charm.
The two went on to establish the Lomographic Society International (LSI), which became the origin of Lomography. They have since led the analog movement, producing film cameras, lenses, and film.
