‘find new pieces’ is a discovery project that seeks out outstanding works from the multitude of submissions on Threads, and delivers their allure through our magazine. Each edition features a specific theme, gathering works from across the globe that resonate with it, allowing us to encounter new, yet-unseen talents (new pieces).

On cizucu’s Threads, we occasionally announce a “photography theme.”

The subject of cats, even when it’s the same cat, reveals entirely different faces depending on the distance and timing of the encounter. What came through in each of these submissions was something far beyond mere 'cuteness'—a dignified presence, the easing of caution, a distance that is almost but not quite touchable, and a quiet trust.
