ppp(pro) | Sharing and Reflecting on the World of Photography with All Participants by F | ISSUE #124

Released as a derivative project with open coaching from the globally held by cizucu, focuses not only on "communication" but also on "skill improvement." It is a project designed to support photography enthusiasts who want to take their skills to the next level.
This time, we interviewed F, a creator who participated in .

Please introduce yourself!
It has been a year since I started taking photos. I enjoy high-contrast photography, such as night street scenes and backlit shots.
My first photo exhibition was the in May 2025. Until then, I had been taking photos exclusively with my smartphone, but participating in the inspired me to purchase a camera in June of this year.
Now, I am completely absorbed in photography and go out to shoot whenever I have free time.
Why did you decide to participate in ppp(pro)?
On social media and in bulletin-style photo exhibitions, it's easy to avoid harsh critiques. However, I want to take more beautiful photos. The opportunity to receive feedback from instructors and participants seemed like a valuable learning experience, which is why I decided to join .

What specific questions did you ask the coach?
I asked about "where to focus" in my photos and my concern about always using my favorite compositions. Additionally, through other participants' photos, I inquired about camera settings for capturing dynamic elements like splashing waves.
The reason I chose this particular photo was that switching from a smartphone to a camera allowed me to consciously create focal points in my images. Receiving feedback on a photo that conveys depth made me want to further refine my skills to capture the world I love.

What advice did you receive during open coaching?
I was advised to adjust the balance of the curve on the train station platform to create a greater sense of space. I had been focusing solely on emphasizing the shadows of the benches on the platform, so I realized the importance of balancing a "broader perspective" with "attention to detail."
How was your experience participating in the event?
Presenting the technical aspects of my photos to everyone allowed me to analyze my work objectively. Why was I drawn to take this photo? What do I want viewers to focus on?
Sharing that world with all participants and thinking together about "how to make it better" made this a truly valuable experience.

For those considering participating in ppp(pro)
Anyone can become a creator, including you and me. That is the charm of the and . I love watching participants share the stories behind their photos during gallery talks. Whether they are shy or blunt, everyone loves photography! That realization fills me with immense happiness.
I encourage everyone to join!
